Pierre MORFOUACE
Scientist
- 2011-2014: Ph.D thesis at l’Institut de Physique Nucléaire at Orsay. Study of neutron-rich nuclei around 78Ni by means of transfer reaction.
- 2014-2017: Research Associate at National Superconducting Cyclotron Laboratory (NSCL) in Michigan. My research focused on the equation of state of nuclear matter and on the momentum dependence of the nuclear mean-field potential by constraining the nucleon effective-mass splitting using heavy-ion collision.
- 2017-2018: Post-doc at GANIL in Caen to study resonant nuclear reaction with the new active target ACTAR.
- Since 2018: I work as a nuclear physicist at CEA. My research focus on nuclear fission. We are measuring new experimental data, and in particular fission fragment yields, using state-of-the-art detectors at different facilities (GSI, GANIL…).
