I am an experimental nuclear physicist. I completed my Ph.D. at the Louis Pasteur University in Strasbourg, focused on studying nuclear superdeformation. After a year of teaching, I joined the CEA to conduct experiments on nuclear isomers, sometimes at the intersection of nuclear and atomic physics. After over a decade dedicated to studying the de-excitation processes of nuclear isomers through gamma or neutron interaction, I shifted my focus to nuclear data, working on reactions induced by fast neutrons. These include inelastic neutron scattering reactions, neutron production reactions (n,xn), and fission. This work has been part of a collaboration with the U.S. DOE, followed by a French collaboration. I was able to develop innovative detection solutions, the latest being a large-scale detector capable of neutron and gamma-ray counting as well as calorimetry. This new device has yielded groundbreaking results in fast neutron-induced fission.
