Scientist

I earned a master’s degree in physics in 2021 and, in 2022, joined CEA DAM Île-de-France (DIF) as a research engineer on a laser-shock facility. There, I design and conduct experiments under extreme conditions, drawing on simulation and data analysis to investigate damage and material ejection, constitutive behavior and phase transformations, as well as warm dense matter (WDM) and plasma physics. My work combines the development of diagnostics (high-speed imaging, free-surface velocity measurements) with hydrodynamic modeling to bridge micro-, meso- and macroscopic scales. I also carry out experiments dedicated to two-dimensional (2D) plasma effects and confined interaction geometries. Since 2024, I have been pursuing a PhD focused on characterizing the laser source term and its impact on the dynamic response of materials-quantifying deposited energy and coupling experiments with modeling to better design tests and interpret the underlying phenomena.
