After completing a degree in mechanical engineering and materials science, I defended a PhD in 2022 on the shock behavior of nickel-based superalloys produced by additive manufacturing. I then pursued a postdoctoral fellowship at CEA DAM, focusing on the β-γ phase transition of tin under dynamic loading. Since 2024, I have been working there as a research engineer, specializing in the experimental characterization of matter, from condensed matter to plasmas. I design and conduct experiments using a high-power laser and a pulsed discharge generator to reproduce extreme pressure and temperature conditions in the laboratory. The experiments are supported by numerical simulations throughout the entire process, from test design to results analysis. This combined experimental and modeling approach links micro, meso, and macroscopic scales and improves the understanding of the phenomena involved.
