Thomas GORBINET
Scientist
After completing a PhD at CEA Saclay between 2008 and 2011 on inverse-kinematics spallation reactions at GSI as part of the SPALADIN experiment, I pursued research until 2014 on nuclear fission, still in inverse kinematics, at CEA and IPNO within the SOFIA experiment.
I then spent nearly ten years working in data science, artificial intelligence, and software development applied to digital marketing, first as a data scientist and later in technical leadership roles up to CTO level. This experience allowed me to develop expertise in algorithms, data engineering, and the industrialization of data pipelines and AI models.
Since returning to CEA in late 2025, I have been working again in experimental nuclear physics and on the evaluation of fission fragment yields.
