Research experience: While I was a PhD candidate at GANIL (France) and then a postdoctoral fellow at ANL (USA), my work focused on experimental nuclear astrophysics dedicated to explosive stellar nucleosynthesis. Aiming to constrain proton captures in novae, relevant to gamma-ray astronomers, as well as (alpha,n) reactions in the winds of core collapse supernovae, I have set up nuclear experiments using detection systems such as the spectrometer AGATA and the active target MUSIC. Since joining CEA, I have been interested in neutron-induced reactions, i.e. radiative captures and fissions, in particular the statistical radiative decay of populated nuclei. Involving lighter-particle beams at NFS/GANIL and Tandem facilities, such works should improve our understanding of s-process nucleosynthesis and fission-fragment properties at scission. Disciplines:
- Experimental nuclear physics;
- Explosive stellar nucleosynthesis;
- Radiative capture;
- Nuclear fission and prompt radiative emissions;
